Message of anyone in my area that can do a decent job of checkin it out for a decent price. My dad insists on using his mechanic for everything, and he's a nice guy but he doesn't know anything about a Z. I think all he knows about cars is what he's picked up on his own, but he has his own shop and my dad trusts him blindly. My dad has too much faith in people, I don't know if anyone saw my post about my interior, but he told me it'd be alright. "Low overhead means cheap labor not a cheap job." lol and he's so stubborn about everything that I'm afraid he's gonna destroy my Z.

I'm only 15 but I'm not a rebel or anything I respect my dad and I think everything he does for me is great but he's too stubborn. Anyway my point is that the only way I'm gonna be able to get my car anywhere besides his mechanic is to go with my mom, and I don't know enough about cars to know whats wrong with my Z or if anythings wrong with it, maybe I'm just driving it wrong, but here's my problems any ideas on what might be wrong would be appreciated.

When I'm in 1st and 2nd gear and try to accelerate my Z kind of hops, It just doesnt have smooth acceleration and I don't think thats normal.

I think i need a new clutch because when I change gears sometimes it takes a few seconds for my clutch to catch. Or at least I'm guessing thats what it is?

After I've been driving for a while I'll start to smell something burning when I stop. Smell's like burnt rubber.

I guess that's about it any ideas on what might be going on what be great. Or if I'm just driving it wrong then don't be too hard on me lol, I'm stilll learning I'm only 15. Thanks
